Why Guardian?

I have 2 decades of experience in residential and commercial construction.  Also, I have the caring and will to be your advocate, to thoroughly inspect your potential home purchase.

Why the name?

Because you deserve to feel protected.  On the verge of one of the biggest investments of your life, someone needs to be guarding you.

What is a Home Inspection?
How Much?
Do I need an inspection?
Where do I start?

Since 1995, I have accrued years of experience in residential and commercial construction, maintenance, and building services.  I have conducted hundreds of inspections, including code compliance, OSHA safety, and Worker's Compensation inspections.  But nothing compares to the importance of your residential home inspection.  Your home could be your single largest investment in your life and you need an advocate.  I started The Guardian Home Inspection Service as a way to deliver my years of knowledge and experience to you and help you be informed in your possible purchase.  We guard you, not the sale.

A general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property (as delineated below), performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector.

Costs vary, depending on the region, size and age of the house, scope of services and other factors. A typical range might be $300-$500, but consider the value of the home inspection in terms of the investment being made

The answer in almost all cases is yes. Home inspectors perform an important role on behalf of the buyer in the home purchasing process. They are trained and experienced in what to look for in a home that might be a problem for the purchasers after the closing. Issues that they find can sometimes be used to negotiate a concession from the seller to fix defects, or might even reveal a problem that will enable a buyer to walk away from a home with a significant deficiency.

Your first step is to call or email me.  I can be reached at (570) 317-6535.  That's my personal cellphone.  When you call mee, you'll get me.  Not an answering service and not a receptionist.  I want to be accessible to you.  I want to be your GUARDIAN.

The Guardian Home Inspection process was so smooth and simple, I could not believe it.  He found many issues, which allowed me and my husband to truly be informed during our purchase.  I will never call another inspector.

I met him as the Guardian, but now know him as "Jay."  I will tell you this...Jay was the most involved man during my family's first steps at buying our house.  He took his time, answered my questions, and followed up with me whenever I needed it.  The Guardian (Jay) protected us!
